How we repair rock chips

Every windshield is different. Here is what a professional repair typically involves after we confirm the damage is suitable.

    Prepare the repair area

    We prepare the impact area and position the repair equipment over the break.

    Remove air and fill with resin

    Professional equipment removes trapped air and introduces repair resin into the damaged area.

  4. 04

    Cure and finish

    UV light cures the resin. We finish the impact point and polish the repaired surface.

  5. 05

    Review the result

    We review the finished repair with you and explain any remaining visible mark.

Can my windshield damage be repaired?

We focus on small rock chips up to a quarter size as well as minor cracks 5 inches or smaller. Weā€™ll review your damage before confirming that a repair is suitable for your windshield.

Will the damage disappear completely?

Repair resin fills and bonds suitable windshield damage to help stabilize it and improve its appearance. Results depend on the size, type, location and condition of the damage.

The chip will usually look less noticeable, but a mark can remain. Repair does not restore glass to new condition, and we cannot promise that every chip can be repaired. Before we start, weā€™ll explain what to expect for your windshield.

What locations do you offer mobile service for?

We serve addresses within the shaded Minneapolisā€“Saint Paul range shown in our service-area map, including portions of nearby communities. A city or ZIP match does not guarantee every address is covered. Search your city or ZIP and weā€™ll confirm your exact location.

For locations outside the local service range, a $25 travel fee applies. We confirm availability and any travel charge with you before scheduling.

What happens after I send a request?

After you submit a request via online booking form, we will receive your request and then will call you to confirm that a repair is suitable for your windshield. We will then confirm if an appointment time is available the same day, or you can choose to schedule an appointment on a different day.

Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email and text.

What if I need a windshield replacement?
